Attach nail to ShingleShock. (Powerful magnet secures nail firmly)
Slide ShingleShock under old top shingle, above new shingle
Hammer down
This tends to happen when lifting up old shingles to get room to swing a hammer at the nail below. This was a newer architectural shingle that had little give to it on a steep roof. It tore while lifting.
This occurs when someone hits the top shingle with a hammer while not holding it back far enough with his hand. The shingle felt brittle so the homeowner didn't want to bend it back too far.
Hammering the nail underneath the shingle with the one on top causes extensive damage to both shingles. The nail does not get hammered down all the way and it can come right through the top shingle.
Made of ballistic steel for the superior toughness and durability. The same material used in body armor and mining. Guaranteed never to deform or break.

I have a 15 year old asphalt shingle roof with a leak near a vent pipe. I called 2 roofers and each wanted to replace the entire roof insisting, "the old shingles surrounding the repair area would break when during the repair." I consider myself moderately handy. With the ShingleShock I was able to save thousand by fixing it myself in an afternoon. The design is simple and foolproof. Alex Fenton, Minneapolis, MN. ★★★★★
I'm a roofer and have used this tool on my last 5 projects. The ShingleShock works. It is strong and makes installing new shingles under old ones a breeze. With steep New England roofs getting good hammer blows often requires bending and stressing the old shingles above to get them out of the way. Sometime they crack, leading to further repairs. The ShingleShock eliminates that risk and has saved me countless hours of aggravation while allowed me to win new business. Marius Rodrigues ,Hanover, NH. ★★★★★
I live in New Hampshire and in early spring the days can be chilly. Working on shingles often requires heating to get them soft, especially the thick architectural ones that are becoming more common. With the ShingleShock I'm able to work in cold weather and replace bad shingles without this extra hassle. Jose Hess , Detroit, MI. ★★★★
The ShingleShock works like a charm for repairs near the hip and ridges and allows me to nail underneath the ridge for quality repairs without taking everything apart. Lloyd Hooper, Burlington, VT. ★★★★
Most houses now have the thick architectural shingles. This combined with a steep roof pitch makes getting the top shingle out of the way to swing a hammer nearly impossible. This tool allows me to nail without having to wrestle with the shingles above. Jacob Childs, Hartford, CT. ★★★★★
I use the ShingleShock while installing skylights and and putting in anchors. It works like a charm and allows me to nail into surfaces below shingles without having to over-flex the surrounding shingle. Joseph Newton, Newport, RI. ★★★★
